The Burning Hills (part 1)

pangajaman A collection of chill, short eclectic bits somewhat reminiscent of Alanski's 'Les Yeux Crevés'. These wordless compositions speak -somehow- of beauty, sorrow and discovery, as if conveying a story of sorts, which goes to prove how the man behind them still retains his abilities to craft unlived memories and emotions through music. Special stuff for sure, a good pick for a meditative afternoon. But be wary, because the hills might be burning after all. Favorite track: Wounded.

about

The Burning Hills (part 1)
(il fuoco sulla terra, le feu sur la terre, the fire on the earth, the world is on fire)

Bronzino (who is he? a torero with a fox head, a lady in lace with a tibetan lama hat, a ghost with a white hooded sweater?), Bronzino has an effervescent heart, a colourful brush and a thousand tongues...
Ancient creatures deliver coded messages, pianos roll like thunder, bells are ringing in the distance…On 57 East 66th street, there is an endless party in honour of Andy W., digital voices cry and musicians play for the deaf.Pizzicati of a fake orchestra open Aldous Huxley’s doors, "Ahahahah" screams the anxious male choir soon joined by nightmare demons and whistles, as a call to follow the guide…Follow the guide to Die Weinerei Café in Berlin where people go and say muted words, drink poisoned herbal tea to continue the escapade.
Bronzino's tracks are, most of the time, short, as Sixties singles, as shots of vitamins, as landscape glimpses from the window of a car, fresh as a never ending tunnel towards light. Or is it darkness?
What happened on May 21? So many mysteries to clear up, but the one who'll make the trip will know. Meanwhile the thorn in the heel of the goddess hurts, wounded dogs bark to the moon, in the frozen night, trains are stuck in empty stations...In the fields, people rush in search of a shelter under the crushing sun but the band (a reformation of The Animals?) sounds GOOD…Yes, the animals sound good and a saddhu channels D.B (guess who’s hiding behind these initials ?) but it’s L A T E now, maybe even TOO late ! And as far as the eyes can see : BURNING HILLS.
The cellos are running fast to the apocalypse…cherished memories of hot chocolates in a Vienna palace (or was it the Caffè Greco in Roma, or the five-star Raphael hotel in Paris ?). Anoush , peacefully, is playing sitar, barefoot in a park, as a never painted canvas, as a perfect dream. People laugh, people drink, they walk fast to join their loved ones, flutes play a song of compassion for the reconciled world.
